- Iconic building with tower and turrets,
- Floor to roof full wrap around all sides of building
Design Brief:
The Knightsbridge based iconic Harrods, is a Grade II listed building with a terracotta Victorian exterior and stands as a symbol of elegance and luxury. The requirement was to provide scaffolding drawings for a full wrap of the entire building, including the turreted tower. This would be used to clean the façade and roof top tower.
Design solution:
Public safety required the design to specify 2m wide access between all public furniture/areas. A low level temporary roof was added to the design drawings to keep pedestrians and customers dry during the winter months. All shop front windows had to be kept clear and visible to ensure customers could clearly see the displays.
